Today, every Indian citizen wants to see India as a corruption free country. It is national character of the people that decides the nation's future. The sum total of individuals character in society makes or breaks the nation.Corruption depletes resources, increases proverty, punishes the innocent and destroys a society.
Political corruption has grown to monstrous proportions. When the trustees of the nation themselves become corrupt, senior officers in their departments are rendered weak and ineffective to check and bring to book, corrupt subordinate officers with political connections.Corruption is a very comprehensive evil, as it is a common tool for all anti social activities.
An evil conscience may be silent but not secure. The corrupt subordinate officers with political connections.Corrupt men are undignified because, What is dignity without integrity and honesty? the only guardian within an individual, ishis conscience, which is broughtforth by values. It is the inner voice, which guides us in the right direction. To the corrupt and dishonest a conscience put to sleep is asource of great happiness. People who betray their country, friends and loved ones, actually betray their own conscience. The corrupt are a part of the human race with a human face, but they lack humanity.Typically, when an honest entrepreneur cheats for the first time, he can't sleep; but this happens only the first time. similarly, when an honest bureaucrattakes a bribe for the first time, he can`t sleep. Soon, he can't sleep, unless he takes the bribe.
A culture of corruption always goes top to down, never bottom to up. Corrupt people have corrupt role models.Corrupt governance suppresses freedom in the name of law and order leading to loss of trust and civil liberties. No society has ever attained 24-carat purity in honesty and integrity.
But how can we ignore the diffrence between 22 carat and 8 carat purity?........
